This is the ‘NCBI’ mode of BeetleAtlas 2 — the resource for tissue-specific transcriptomics in Tribolium castaneum. Use it for work on beetle genes with numeric NCBI IDs.
Queries of the following types are available from the menu above:
GENE: For a particular gene, find details of its expression in different tissues or in embryos.
TISSUE: For a given tissue, find the most highly expressed genes.
CATEGORY: For a given tissue, find expressed genes in certain descriptive categories.
ADULT/LARVA: For a given tissue, find genes with different expression in larva and adult.
EMBRYO: Find genes expressed at different stages of embryonic development.
PROFILE: Find genes with a pattern of expression similar to a gene of interest.
In addition you can:
Compare the results with those for any equivalent OGS3 gene.
Examine the raw RNA-seq reads on the icTriCast1.1 genome assembly in the UCSC Genome Browser alongside both NCBI and OSG3 gene models.
…and
OGS3 mode (for IDs with ‘TC’ prefixes) is always available from the switch button
You can find further information in the Docs or the Manual, and a paper describing the original Beetle Atlas is also available.
