Two-dimensional View
The two-dimensional views are gif or png images, generated on the fly by a small Perl program entitled ‘SecondGlance’. ‘SecondGlance’ was written by David Leader to produce plots similar to the ‘Wirplot’ diagrams of Roman Laskowski, simplified for the requirements of the ‘Motivated Protein’ site.
The source code of both Perl and Java (JDBC) versions of‘SecondGlance’ is freely available on request using the Feedback Form. A more generally accessible desktop version of the program, capable of reading DSSP secondary structure files (obtainable from the EBI website), is available for download:
